Pickup from your hotel and drive to Kintamani in the dark, then switch to an open 4x4 jeep with an experienced local driver at Toya Bungkah. You watch sunrise on Mount Batur, ride across the black lava fields, then drive down to the shore of Lake Batur to visit the lakeside temple that seems to float on the water at high lake level. The most complete jeep route around the caldera.

  1. Pickup from your hotel (Ubud around 02:30)
  2. Jeep departs Toya Bungkah parking
  3. Sunrise at the viewpoint on Mount Batur
  4. Black lava fields & photo stops

  6. Back at Toya Bungkah
  7. Arrive back at your hotel (approx.)

Good to know

  • Maximum 3 guests per jeep; groups of 4 or more are split across jeeps at the same price per person.
  • Pickup time depends on your hotel area (South Bali around 01:30, Ubud around 02:30) and is confirmed the day before.
  • The route can change for safety when the volcano status or weather requires it.
  • Not recommended for pregnant guests or guests with back or neck problems (off-road ride).
  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour date.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours are charged 50%.
  • No-show is charged in full.
  • SIM cards cannot be refunded once registered; eSIM cannot be refunded once the QR code is sent.
  • Pickup is included from hotels in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur and Ubud; other areas may have a surcharge.
  • Please be ready in the lobby 5 minutes before pickup time.
  • Itineraries may change because of weather, traffic, ceremonies or temple closures; we always offer a fair alternative.
  • Children aged 3-11 pay the child rate; under 3 travel free without a seat.
